This 32-page book is a collection of the Irish songs in the American Catholic Hymnbook. The commentary for each song is extensive, as is the introduction, "Why Is There a Lack of Irish Hymns?" A Hundred Thousand Welcomes is not itself a hymnal; it is an introduction to the American Catholic Hymnbook. Eleven songs are included in A Hundred Thousand Welcomes, each with melody, text, chord symbols, and commentary.
